"Workshop on intellectual property adjudication for the judiciary of Mongolia" commences

The Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy, in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is organizing an advanced-level training session titled "Workshop on intellectual property adjudication for the judiciary of Mongolia" for judges.
The training was opened with remarks by Ts. Tsogt, Justice of the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, and Min Eun-joo, Director of the WIPO Judicial Institute.


The two-day training will discuss the current status and pressing issues of intellectual property dispute adjudication in Mongolia, while focusing on international methodologies and practices for resolving trademark and copyright disputes in digital markets and online environments. It is also uniquely characterized by incorporating sessions based on civil and criminal law protection mechanisms and damages restitution practices in trademark and copyright cases.






The training modules are being led by Ts. Tsogt, Justice of the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of Mongolia; D. Erdenechimeg, Director of the Judicial Academy; Z. Ganzorig and A. Sarangerel, Judges of the Administrative Appeals Court; B. Odgerel, Senior Patent Examiner of the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia; Kim Young-gi, Presiding Judge of the Intellectual Property Patent Court of South Korea; and Yu Huibin, Presiding Judge of the Third Civil Division of the Beijing High People's Court of the People's Republic of China.

The training is being attended by 28 judges from all levels of courts who have previously completed WIPO's introductory training and are currently specializing in the field of intellectual property.
