Representatives of the Canadian judiciary received

On May 13, 2026, Dr. D. Erdenechimeg, Director of the Judicial Academy, received the Honorable Justice Catherine O’Brien of the Court of Appeal of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and Stephanie Lockhart, Executive Director of the Superior Court Judges’ Association of Canada.
During the meeting, the parties introduced their respective organizational structures and operational highlights, shared experiences of cooperation with the Judicial Associations of Mongolia and Canada, and exchanged views on future collaborative opportunities.
From the Judicial Academy, Dr. B. Dulguun, Scientific Secretary, G. Khaliunaa, Head of the Training Center; and S. Nasanjargal, Head of the Information Center, participated in the meeting. They presented the structures and functions of their respective centers, as well as their daily activities and future objectives.
The Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs Canada is implementing the “The Equal Justice for All in Mongolia” (EJAM) project in cooperation with Mongolian judicial organizations. Within the framework of this project, the Judicial Academy is working with the National Judicial Institute of Canada to organize phased training programs for judges.
