The Judicial Training, Research and Information Academy has relaunched its quarterly academic journal under a new title and format. Beginning with Issue No. 111, published in the first quarter of 2025, the journal formerly known as Mongolian State and Law is now published as The Journal of Mongolian Judicial and Legal Studies.

While preserving its original editorial policy, the rebranding aims to strengthen the journal’s focus on both theoretical and practical research related to judicial authority and its implementation. The update features a new visual identity and an enriched content structure. New sections include peer-reviewed scholarly articles, research reports, analytical reviews of court decisions, and commentary from the Supreme Court of Mongolia on draft legislation, fostering a comprehensive academic discourse on judicial authority and legal policy in Mongolia.

For the past two decades, the Mongolian State and Law have served as a vital platform for developing legal scholarship, supporting judicial practice research, and disseminating the knowledge and findings of legal professionals and scholars. The relaunch under the new name further builds upon this mission.

The journal’s editorial board includes leading legal scholars, professors, and representatives from the Supreme Court of Mongolia (Criminal, Civil, and Administrative Chambers), the Constitutional Court, the National Human Rights Commission, and international academics. These members ensure the academic rigor of the journal through expert peer review and editorial oversight.
