Comparative Study on the Adjudication of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Crimes Published

The Criminal Law Sector of the Judicial Research Center, operating under the Judicial Training, Research, and Information Academy, has completed a comparative study titled “Analysis of the Adjudication of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Crimes”, with support from The Asia Foundation.

The study clarifies the definition of human trafficking as outlined in international legal instruments. It analyzes how the crime is criminalized under Article 13.1 of the Special Part of the Criminal Code of Mongolia. It explores the legal framework and judicial practice in Mongolia and compares them with the criminal laws and practices of the United States, Germany, South Korea, Canada, and Taiwan.

Based on the comparative analysis, the study provides key findings and policy recommendations aimed at improving the legal and institutional response to human trafficking and sexual exploitation crimes.
