Discussion Meeting held on the “Equal Justice for All in Mongolia (EJAM)” project

The Judicial Training, Research, and Information Academy, in collaboration with the Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs Canada, held discussion meetings on May 13 and 15, 2025, regarding the upcoming project titled “Equal Justice for All in Mongolia (EJAM).”
The Canadian delegation included:
Ms. Errolyn Humphreys, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs Canada
Mr. Marc Richard, Chief Justice of New Brunswick
Mr. Tom Crabtree, Chief Judicial Officer of the National Judicial Institute of Canada
Mr. Oleg Shakov, Director of International Programs, Federal Judicial Affairs Canada
Mr. Ian Morrison, Lawyer and International Development Specialist
Within the framework of the EJAM project, the Judicial Academy of Mongolia and its Canadian partners agreed to jointly organize training programs focused on judicial ethics, soft skills development, and the preparation of specialized family court judges. Additionally, the parties plan to collaborate on the development of training curricula based on the experience of the National Judicial Institute of Canada.
Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the Equal Justice for All in Mongolia project will run through 2030. It is being implemented in cooperation with the Supreme Court of Mongolia, the Judicial Academy, the Judicial General Council, the Judicial Disciplinary Committee, the Mongolian Judges’ Association, and the Intellectual-Innovation NGO.
