Research paper “Climate change and the court” presented at the International Academic Conference

On May 9, 2025, the Judicial Research and Training Institute of South Korea virtually hosted an international academic conference under the theme “Judicial Responses to Climate Change.”

Representing Mongolia, Ms. D. Erdenechimeg, Director of the Judicial Academy, participated in the conference and presented a research paper titled “Climate Change and the Court.

Within the framework of this topic, the research examined Mongolia’s policies and measures to combat climate change, climate-related court cases adjudicated by domestic courts, and notable international case studies that reflect how judiciaries in other countries have responded to climate change.

Delegates from Mongolia, South Korea, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Nepal participated in the conference. The event provided a platform for sharing research findings and practical experiences, with the overarching goal of strengthening the capacity of judicial institutions to respond to climate change and fostering mutual knowledge exchange.
