Registration for the program, aimed at enhancing the professional skills of judges, and supporting personal development, has commenced.

Objectives of the program:

The program aims to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experience from experienced judges to newly appointed and junior judges. This enables them to quickly adapt to their roles, fulfill their legal mandates proficiently, and foster their professional and personal growth.

Duration:

The program will run for 6 months from January 2024 to June 2024.

Program Effectiveness:

As a mentor judge, you will:

Assist newly appointed and junior judges through knowledge and experience sharing.

Challenge yourself by exploring new roles and work environments.

Provide guidance, advice, and support to newly appointed and junior judges to identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Assist in the professional and judicial growth of newly appointed and junior judges.

Operate freely, not bound by established instructions, to leverage your expertise and influence.

Evaluate your impact through program assessment and feedback.

Learn from the perspectives of newly appointed and junior judges.

As a mentee judge, you will:

Learn personally from an experienced judge.

Engage in discussions on legal concepts and broader issues beyond case adjudication.

Acquire practical knowledge on ethical conduct and judicial behavior.

Develop skills such as work-life balance, emotional management, and effective communication.

Establish a lifelong mentoring relationship.

Enhance knowledge, skills, and cultivate a positive mindset.

Criteria for Mentee Judges:

Newly appointed judges or those with up to 3 years of experience.

Willingness to commit time to learn from experienced judges.

Eagerness to adapt quickly to judicial work and culture.

Dedication to fulfilling legal mandates ethically and proficiently.

Openness to learning about personal development, ethics, social sensitivity, and communication.

Willingness to improve personal organization and commitment to continuous learning.

Criteria for Mentor Judges:

Judges with over 10 years of experience in adjudication.

Willingness to contribute to the growth of newly appointed and junior judges.

Proficiency or willingness to learn mentoring program methodologies.

Ability to engage, lead discussions, and facilitate knowledge creation.

Competence in sharing knowledge using participatory methods.

Adherence to ethical communication standards.

Possession of organizational skills, listening abilities, guidance, leadership, and role-modeling qualities.

Mastery of program evaluation methodologies to assess participants' knowledge and skills development.

Submission of Requests:

Interested young judges should submit their applications by December 28, 2023, through the "Mentorship" section of the Judge's Training electronic system.

Mentor judges interested in participating should also submit their applications by December 28, 2023, through the same electronic system.
