The Supreme Court of Mongolia and the Judicial Academy Signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate with the International Law Development Organization

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, D. Ganzorig, the Director of the Judicial Academy, D. Erdenechimeg, and the Chief of Secretariat of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, S. Zayadelger, received representatives of the International Law Development Organization (IDLO), including Country Manager Charles Bolland and Program Manager N. Odontuya, today, May 14, 2026.

Chief Justice D. Ganzorig highlighted the successful implementation of the first phase of the "Strengthening the response to gender-based violence in Mongolia” project and commended the project for ensuring full participation of all stakeholders. Country Manager Charles Bolland emphasized that the strategic guidance and close cooperation of the Director of the Judicial Academy, D. Erdenechimeg, played a significant role in the phased implementation of this project. He also expressed gratitude to Justice N. Bayarmaa, Presiding Justice of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court, and Justice B. Battseren, Justice of the Criminal Chamber, for their support in the project activities.

The first phase of the " Strengthening the response to gender-based violence in Mongolia" project was successfully completed with the aim of empowering victims of gender-based violence, particularly domestic violence, increasing their access to legal aid, and improving legislation and response services against domestic violence.


Chief Justice D. Ganzorig and the Director of the Judicial Academy, D. Erdenechimeg, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the second phase of this project with Charles Bolland, the Country Manager of the International Law Development Organization.
The second phase of the project will be implemented from 2025 to 2030 with the aim of improving the cooperation system and building capacity to foster a victim-centered approach in combating violence among Mongolian civil society, law enforcement, the judiciary, and state organizations.
