She conducted the first empirical study on the mental wellbeing of judges in the history of the Australian judiciary as part of her postgraduate research. She has presented internationally across Australia, Asia, Africa, North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe, and has delivered numerous training sessions and consultancy services to judges and legal professionals.

Ms. Sally Ryan has over 25 years of experience in therapeutic practice, leadership, and training. She provides long-term therapy and psychological support to individuals and also works on improving organizational wellbeing and reducing workplace stress risks.

The training covers:

  • Current trends and international research on judges’ mental health,
  • Identification of stressors and protective factors,
  • Understanding the impact of stress responses and exploring preventive strategies,
  • Differentiating psychological issues, managing stress, and promoting both physical and mental wellbeing.

Participants are also developing personalized mental health plans and engaging in discussions on how to foster a culture of mental wellness within the judiciary. Special attention is being given to the adaptation of international best practices to the Mongolian context. Ten judge-trainers from the Judicial Academy are participating in this training.
